New housing development on Overton Hill

The work to the infrastructure has started and should take 12 weeks to complete - the houses should then be built after this at a rate of about 1 per week with the southern part of the site and Neighbourhood Park to be completed first. More..
 

New Car Park Construction Begins

Construction of new public car park on Overton Hill should be started in mid February. This will provide for 40 spaces for shoppers and workers. Recycling facilities including bottle banks will also be located on the site.
 

Cinema comes to Overton

Moviola gave a well received first cinema showing in St Mary's Hall in January, when 80 people watched Pride and Prejudice. Two further films are booked - Shall We Dance? (12A) on 21 February and Mrs Henderson Presents (12A) on 21 March. Tickets are £4.00 and available from the Fireplace Shop. Look out for further dates from April onwards.
