Overton Halls

Overton Community Centre

Situated at the junction of Winchester Street and High Street in the centre of the village and run by the Overton Community Association and houses the playgroup and Library as well as being the meeting place for a number of clubs and societies.

St Luke's Hall

Situated on the east side of Winchester Street adjacent to number 47 and used for a number of activities such as keep-fit, dancing and short mat bowls. St Luke's is used as the polling station for election purposes. The hall is administered by the charity St Luke's Club Overton, who can be reached at:

St Mary's Hall

Situated on the north side of High Street, St Mary's Hall is owned by the parish council and run by the St Mary's Hall Management Sub-Committee. The Choral Society, badminton clubs and Basingstoke Community Church use the hall. The Overton Dramatic Society put on a productions twice a year. The hall has been newly renovated and is fully licensed to serve alcohol and provide all forms of entertainment. It hosts a popular monthly series of cinema shows, and the committee is encouraging new bookings, including monthly workshops and special events such as plays and bands. The garden has been refurbished and this is now a lovely venue for a party or reception.

Bridge Street Pavilion

Situated at the north end of Bridge Street (access via Church Road) and run by the Overton Recreation Centre this is home to the Overton United Sport and Social Club; the pavilion also provides a meeting room for an exercise class, Pilates, art, drama and a photographic club.

Freefolk and Laverstoke Village Hall

The hall (located next door to the row of thatched cottages on the B3400 in Freefolk) is available for private hire. It is a great location for children's parties (Tiddler's parent and toddler group toys are available by separate agreement) or for regular clubs or classes to meet such as aerobics, dance classes etc.
