Overton Parish Council works on behalf of the whole village community to reflect your interests and concerns. The Parish Council refers regularly to the ‘OPC Community Strategy’ – a document compiled as a statement of what the OPC members understand the village community would like to see happen in Overton. There are constraints on what the OPC is able to achieve, but we use our influence where possible to meet the aspirations of the village community.

The OPC has set an agenda to review and revise the Community Strategy document for 2008. It is the desire of the Parish Council to incorporate your views in this revised document. To make this possible, the OPC prepared a consultation document that was available from November for each villager (not just one per household) to express their views on a number of key issues affecting the life of the village.

The Parish Council greatly appreciates many villagers taking a few minutes in giving some thought as to how you would like to see the shape and character of the community develop over the next few years.
